Preventative Workforce Assessment

The Registered Dental Hygiene (RDH) workforce continues to be a trying workforce to study as many RDH providers serve our communities as part of multiple dental care teams, often throughout different counties in Montana. The Montana Oral Health Program is asking for your help in learning more about the RDH workforce in Montana through the following assessment.

If you are no longer in Montana or retired, please respond to let us know you should not be counted in this assessment. Your assistance in helping us achieve an 80% response rate of all Montana RDHs will aid in studying:

  • Geographical workforce shortages
  • Patient access to preventative dental care
  • Vulnerable populations due to barriers in accessing preventative dental care

The data collected through this assessment will be used to summarize responses. Names are only used to accurately track the responses and gather an accurate depiction of the workforce as compared to the number of RDHs licensed in Montana.

This workforce assessment is conducted by the Montana Oral Health Program – DPHHS and administered by WIM Tracking – Montana Health Workforce Data Services.  Please direct questions to Jena Smith at 406.640.1230 or [email protected].
