PRIMARY CARE, DENTAL & PSYCHIATRIC HPSA DATA COLLECTION 2017 – 2024

Jena Smith of WIM Tracking is a contractor for the Montana Primary Care Office (PCO), a division of the Montana Department of Health and Human Services. WIM provides the Montana PCO with primary care physician, dentist and psychiatrist data collection and database maintenance services of the Shortage Designation Management System (SDMS). The HPSA data collection and maintenance process helps the PCO determine what counties, populations and facilities rank highest in terms of need for workforce recruitment.

2021 ORAL HEALTH WORKFORCE ASSESSMENT

WIM Tracking was a contractor for the Idaho Oral Health Program, a division of the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare. This project began in the summer of 2020 and concluded the fall of 2021. The work included quantitative and qualitative data collection through publish data sets, surveys of dentists, dental hygienists and physicians, and key informant interviews.

TELEHEALTH INFORMATION SERVICES

WIM Tracking is the information manager for two telehealth applications, Find Telehealth and TelehealthLocator. WIM operates an outreach program to gain insight from hospitals, rural health clinics, community health centers, independent providers, Indian and Tribal clinics regarding their telehealth programs. This is conducted across 35 US states and territories.

THE BRIGHT APP: BEHAVIORAL HEALTH WORKFORCE 2017 – Today

Montana Health Workforce Services maintains a database of healthcare providers active in Wyoming, Idaho and Montana. This database is known as the WIM Datahub and is utilized by state agencies, non-profits, healthcare facilities, grant writers, resource guide developers and workforce researchers.

CONTRACTOR FOR MONTANA OFFICE OF RURAL HEALTH 2020

WIM has assisted the Montana Office of Rural Health, Area Health Education Center, and Graduate Medical Education Council in various projects. Most recently, WIM developed a Primary Care Workforce portfolio that includes a series of workforce maps and analytics for use in the 2021 and 2023 legislature. In 2020 and 2021 WIM also assisted MORE/AHEC with a Behavioral Health Paraprofessionals Assessment.
